Abstract

As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to evolve, it is reshaping the landscape of business leadership by augmenting decision-making, enhancing operational efficiency, and enabling predictive insight across organizational functions. This paper explores the transformative role of AI in contemporary leadership, focusing on its key applications in strategic planning, human resource management, customer engagement, and data-driven governance. Drawing on empirical studies and theoretical models, the paper highlights how AI empowers leaders to navigate complexity, improve responsiveness, and foster innovation (Davenport &Ronanki, 2018; Haenlein& Kaplan, 2019). At the same time, it addresses the emerging challenges leaders face, including algorithmic bias, ethical accountability, and the need for digital fluency (Cowls &Floridi, 2018; Newman, Fast, & Harmon, 2020). While AI offers unprecedented opportunities to enhance leadership effectiveness, the paper argues that human judgment, ethical oversight, and emotional intelligence remain irreplaceable. Ultimately, successful integration of AI in leadership requires a balanced approach that combines technological capabilities with human-centered values and adaptive strategies.
